The sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! in the English original version with German subtitles will tour in 2027 in Bregenz, Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Leipzig, Berlin, Oberhausen, and Bremen.

From the West End to a global phenomenon! MAMMA MIA! is Judy Craymer’s brilliant interpretation of the timeless ABBA songs, woven into a light-hearted and witty story about a mother, a daughter, and three possible fathers on an idyllic Greek island.

Performances in Germany and Austria celebrate more than 25 years of MAMMA MIA! since its premiere in London in April 1999. To this day, MAMMA MIA! remains the third longest-running musical with over 11 million audience members in London’s West End. Seen by over 70 million people across 50 productions in 16 different languages. In 2011 MAMMA MIA! became the first Western musical to be staged in Mandarin in the People’s Republic of China. It also became the eighth longest-running show in Broadway history, where it ran for a record-breaking 14 years.

Since its premiere in London’s West End, the world’s most spectacular and entertaining musical has been given new life through two highly successful film adaptations. MAMMA MIA! the Movie, produced by Judy Craymer in 2008, became the highest-grossing musical of all time upon its release and the second film MAMMA MIA! HERE WE GO AGAIN (2018) is the most successful live musical movie sequel of all time.

The music and lyrics of MAMMA MIA! were written by Benny Andersson & Björn Ulvaeus. The book was written by Catherine Johnson, directed by Phyllida Lloyd, and choreography by Anthony Van Laast. The production was designed by Mark Thompson, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Andrew Bruce & Bobby Aitken, and music supervision, additional material, and arrangements by Martin Koch.

The MAMMA MIA! International tour is produced by Judy Craymer, Richard East, and Björn Ulvaeus for Littlestar in collaboration with Universal and NGM.
